Public Information Notification Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2020 Time: 1100am Bayou Vista PD WILL NOT be making traffic stops for any reason other than minor traffic violations. We WILL NOT be making traffic stops to ascertain anyone's destination or reason for being out during this emergency. Chief Jimmie Gillane 3-24-2020- On March 22nd the Galveston County Judge with the support of the Mayors of Galveston County issued an ORDER TO STAY AT HOME for the County. BAYOU VISTA CITY COUNCIL APPROVES BUDGET

City of Bayou Vista Aldermen on Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt the city's 2019-2020 budget. The Council voted unanimously to set the ad valorem tax rate for 2019 at $0.3850/$100 of taxable value.
