The BVVFD has an on-duty firefighter/medical responder at the station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help protect and respond to residents in our community at a moment’s notice.
Our crews consist of career firefighters and highly trained volunteers, many of them certified paramedics or EMTs. They respond to house fires, car fires, chemical spills, traffic accidents, boating mishaps, and many medical emergencies including heart attacks, serious falls, near-drownings, burns and electrical shocks.
The Fire Department sponsors annual fund-raisers, blood drives, and participates in greeting the Weekend Wounded Warriors, Summer Festival Parade and the annual “Trick or Trunk.” We are very proud of our firefighters’ service to this community.
The Board of Directors meet on the second Thursday of each month – 6:00 p.m. – Galveston County MUD #12 Building – Reception Hall. The public is encouraged and welcomed to attend.
