Section 3-2:  The Administrative Officers of the Board of Directors of this organization shall be a President, Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Director, who shall serve for two (2) year-terms from the date of their elections; except in the 2010 election, the President, Vice-President, an one (1) Director shall be elected for a two (2) year term; and the Secretary and Treasurer shall be elected for a one (1) year term.  Thereafter, all Administrative Officers of the Board of Directors shall be elected for a term of two (2) years.  The Fire Chief will serve on the Board of Directors as an ex-officio member, representing the Active Members of the BVVFD.
The Board of Directors meets monthly on the second Thursday – 6:00 p.m. at the Galveston County MUD #12 meeting – Reception Hall.  Agendas are posted in the manner prescribed by law.  All Agendas, Minutes, Financial Statements, etc., are posted to this Website.  The Board of Directors schedules an Annual General Membership meeting in January for the purpose to conduct the election for the Administrative Officers and to present the Annual Reports for the President and Treasurer.
The Board of Directors serves in a voluntary capacity and are not compensated for meeting attendance or other work related to the needs of the Department.
